The Charmed One tagged me so here it goes:
7 things to do before I die:
1. Say enough of "I love yous" to those I love
2. Visit Egypt
3. Re-visit my university
4. Watch Phantom of The Opera musical with Ray
5. Pick my own funeral rites! (let it be something to mark my life instead of death)
6. Pamper myself with a spa
7. Marry Ray (oops, I'll make a widow of him, won't I?!)
7 things I cannot do:
1. Go fishing (too cruel a sport for me)
2. Bungee jump (I would've died halfway through the jump)
3. Have a jolly good time at a disco/dance club
4. Smoke
5. Drink more than 1 glass of wine (I'll be laughing all night)
6. Go on a roller-coaster ride (same effect as bungee jumping)
7. Carry a tune (I croak)
7 things that attract me to the opposite sex:
1. Dressed in a crisp, white shirt
2. His smile
3. Wittiness
4. His sensitive side
5. His perfume (don't ask me why!)
6. Being a perfect gentleman
7. Humour
7 things I say most often:
1. OK
2. Yeah loh
3. "hahaha" (laughing considered a saying or not?)
4. How come??? (Inspired by MS)
5. I dunno
Can't think of anything else.
7 celebrity crushes:
1. John Cusack
2. Rupert Everett (I know, I know, he ain't exactly straight...)
3. Richard Gere
4. Gallon Lo (HK actor)
5. Tom Cruise (only in MI movies)
6. That guy in Pearl Harbour movie who died in the end
7. Andy Lau (old already but still good looking)
7 people I want to do this:
I think I shall leave this open. Please feel free to do one. It's not as easy as it seems. ;) Try it.

Tips on Bangkok
Thursday, July 13, 2006
Anyone has been to Bangkok and can give us some tips? Where to go, what to eat, what to see, where to find a good tailor, which night spots are not to be missed, what time of day to avoid traffic (or it's just so bad it is unavoidable?), where's unsafe, how to go where....anything! :)

Sore losers
Tuesday, July 04, 2006
Last night I was watching the news. In sports, it showed a clip of the Brazilian football team arriving at their home airport. A huge crowd was gathered there to “welcome” the team with what seemed like abusive yells and gestures. And yet, the defeated players waved sadly at them and quickly got onto their waiting bus, with their heads hanging low. It was a sad sight.
As shocking as it was for me to see the previous World Cup champion making their exit so early on in the game, I don’t think they deserve to be treated this way. Come on guys, don’t be so hard on these sportsmen. Perhaps they didn’t play well enough for you, they got kicked out of the World Cup and you lost some money on your bet. But don’t take it out on them. It’s not easy to win all the time. And as in any game, there will be a winner and many losers. You can’t expect to win every match. God is fair.
I’m speaking from the point of view of a former sportsperson. No one likes to lose in a game. Defending your title is the hardest thing to do because the expectation is sky-high and you have to face up to the challenges no matter what form you’re in. You not only need to be in your physical best, but also to be mentally strong and prepared to take all that pressure.
It feels lousy to any sportsman to have a big let-down like this. And any boo-ing from spectators and bad press is definitely an added injury. It is very easy for you and me to sit back, watch, curse and criticise. But it’s not easy for a beaten player to stand in front of a heated crowd, trying to swallow pride and face defeat with dignity.

Money-lenders get online

Money-lenders, more "affectionately" known in the Chinese community as Tai Yee Loong, are also jumping onto the internet bandwagon. I saw this advertisement on a water machine. Check it out.

How the blogging world has caught on, even the Ah Loongs are signing up! :D
