Isn't this babe gorgeous?

Let's Wish...

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all!

Christmas has been fun, being little boy's first Christmas. He didn't attend Christmas mass though, as it was way past his bed time. Maybe next year he will get to join in the sing-along at church.

He's got plenty of presents as most of us couldn't resist buying him more than one gift. We had a fun time opening his presents. I'm pretty sure he didn't know what the fuss was about but I'm sure he will enjoy his presents.

He enjoyed the blinking lights on the Christmas tree too. Doesn't he look excited? :)

Bali

Thursday, December 20, 2007

Recently we visited Bali. I've never been there but have heard nothing but good recommendations from friends who have. Even those who have not stepped foot into Bali were telling me how his/her friends said it's a "must-go" destination. Everyone recommended to go for the famous babi guling and dirty duck dishes but I didn't manage to try them.

Ray and I aren't beach people, not much of an art lover and quite indifferent to cultural stuff. And so we found Bali a little boring. Maybe we had set too high expectations of the trip from all the wonderful things our friends shared with us. Nevertheless, we did see some beautiful places. Most importantly, we had a chance to get away. I haven't been for any trips in more than a year, the last being to Bangkok just before our wedding.

Here are some of the breath-taking views of Bali.

Spas and massages there are really cheap too and of course, was the other big "must-do" in Bali. Initially we booked a 4-hour spa but soon thought it's way too long. So we changed it to a 2-hour spa. But in the last minute, I turned down my booking to go shopping instead. I didn't try any of the massages there and only went for a manicure and pedicure at the end of the trip while killing time waiting for our flight home.

Our next destination will be after Christmas. This time, we're definitely heading for a city vacation - Japan. The last time I was in Japan was some 14 or 15 years ago, I think. It'll be peak winter by the time we're there...let's hope we'll have some fun in the snow!

Someone new to shop for

Tuesday, December 18, 2007

This is the first Christmas for my little baby. Shopping for a gift for him has been so much joy.

I started shopping for his Christmas clothes and I went crazy picking up pieces after pieces! Baby clothes are so expensive. Before, I used to think I'm not the kind of mom who would splash a fortune on kids' clothes because they outgrow them too quickly. But I seem to have proven myself wrong. I AM that kind of a parent!

Anyway, happy with my purchases (I limited myself to just 3 pieces), I went on to shop for his actual Christmas gift. It'll be something he could use as he grows up. And hopefully it'll be something meaningful to my little boy too.

I can't believe he's gonna be 4 months old come Christmas time! :)

Isn't he a smiley little boy?

Christmas shopping

Monday, December 17, 2007

It's that time of the year again - Christmas! I took a day off work today and went shopping for gifts. I don't know why but it feels like a harder year to look for gifts. Partly because I'm running out of ideas already. How does one keep up with creative gifts when there are so many present-giving occasions in a year?

Yesterday I went shopping with SIL. We were supposed to get together to buy gifts for others. But guess what? We ended up buying things for ourselves!! Tsk tsk tsk tsk...bad, bad girls! The sales are just too tempting.

My challenge now besides finishing the shopping is to find boxes to wrap the gifts in!
