We're off to Japan this evening. I'm somewhat excited about the trip, but at the same time a little sad about missing my baby for slightly over a week. Some of you will probably ask "If you miss him, then why go?" I ask myself too.
I think we need to have a life too even after having the little one in our lives. A break is always a big welcome and we need to learn to handle separation anxiety. OK, maybe I shouldn't say "we". Maybe it's all just me!
Anyway, it's peak winter time in Japan now. Our luggage is stuffed with sweaters. We aren't bringing too many luggages because we're taking some internal flights within Japan. I don't think we're gonna shop that much so we should be coming back with the exact number of luggage we bring over.
Speaking of shopping, my colleagues have all placed order with me to buy them puchi puchi. Heard of it? It's a digital bubble wrap that you can "pop" over and over. Apparently there's quite a craze for them in Japan. Trust Japan to come up with all sorts of funny ideas that actually sell!
I'm looking forward to visiting Disneyland. I'm not so thrilled about the roller-coaster rides but I do look forward to visiting the Haunted House again. We're also scheduled to go skiing but I might just skip that. I'm not a risk-taker and therefore not very adventurous to try new stuff that has a little danger involved. Yeah, yeah, I'm a coward. Call me whatever, I don't really mind. Haha.
My wishlist in Japan is actually to find some cool and nice things for baby. Since they're so innovative, I can't wait to see what are some innovative toys or educational products they have. I haven't had the time to do any research so far, so I don't even know where to start looking. Hopefully we'll have some time to visit a departmental store there where I can head straight to the kiddie section.
Shall attempt to take lots of pictures too. We have lots of places to visit from what is written on the itinerary. Looks like quite a hectic trip, actually.
Now that we're all packed and ready to go, we shall learn a few useful Japanese phrases to get us along...Sayonara!

You have a good trip..!! have fun..!! and donch feel bad at all. ;)
Yeah, my hubby just showed me the puchi puchi in the papers the other day. He's asking my #3 if she likes to have one so that he can play too! Sneaky!
You should get away for some couple time to keep the fire burning. Er.. yeah, it's gonna be freezing in Japan, so all the more you need the fire! :D
Have a good trip! :)
Hi hi, I think this is the first time I'm dropping a comment, although I've followed your wedding blog (which is an inspiration to me to start mine too! :p) to here for a while now :)
Just a suggestion - how about going to Disneysea instead? I was in training in Japan for over a year, so I know the place pretty well. I find Disneyland more suitable for the kids, whereas Disneysea is very picturesque and suitable for couples with romantic rides and such. Normally the adults hit Disneysea, and the kids Disneyland. Anyways, just a suggestion ;)
And if you're going to be just around Tokyo, not to worry too much, quite a number of Japs can converse a little in English (compared to rural areas where English is pretty much nonexistent!).
Have a great trip now! :)
mamabok, i did miss my little boy but i also had loads of fun! :D
dancing queen, did your hubby/#3 get a puchi puchi? i bought 20 of them! :P
