Should we get a 'house' for the boy?

Last Friday, Ray brought the little boy to the mall while I had something on. While they waited for me, Ray let him play at some build-up houses just outside a Toys 'R Us. The little one just loved it! He walked in and out of those little houses, peeking out through the windows as if playing hide-and-seek. I wasn't there to catch his moment of fun, but thankfully his playtime was captured on video and I got to see how much he enjoyed himself.

Since then, I've been thinking whether it's worth while to get him one of those "house" to install at home. It does take up quite a bit of space and I also wonder if he would get tired of playing with it after a few times. I don't think these little play-houses come cheap too.

On the other hand, I wouldn't mind investing in dollhouses instead because these can be decorative pieces after they are done being a toy! Well at least that's how I see it. I actually got this idea after watching an episode of Friends where Monica inherited this very pretty victorian dollhouse and I thought it sure didn't look much like a plaything!

Anyway, a dollhouse is quite out of the question for now because it won't be quite practical just yet. About the play-house, we'll need to think about it a bit more...buy or don't buy, buy or don't buy?
