Victoria's Secret - every girl's favourite?

Victoria's Secret, is it every girl's favourite? We don't have any VS outlet here in Malaysia, but someone came up with Women's Secret to match. Not a close match at all, though.

I used to know someone who flipped through the catalogue every other day and eventually went online to purchase something. For her to purchase online was a big deal because she was kinda computer illiterate. See what VS products can make you do, part with good money over the internet.

I'm also "guilty" somewhat, because I subscribe to its newsletter and they recently posted me a copy of their latest catalogue. I've also spotted Princess Poo Poo watching Tyra Banks model for VS and pondering if that's the secret to a guy's heart.

Now I'm beginning to wonder, is VS really a favourite amongst girls or is it because they're appealing to the guys and that's why it becomes a girl's natural choice?

Well, I think it depends on the sensibility of the individual. I know how you mean by the notion of your entry here. In today's modernity, there are new things being produced, being marketed, being advertised on tv, radio, magz, billboards, and even by (local) society (clothes they wear, electronic gadgets they have...etc). Yep, it's the case of, trend, "Wow. That looks cool. I'm getting one too." I do not know how things are done there in Malaysia, but here in Canada/USA, there are many youth who're easily deluded by trendy associations; peer pressure.

Don't get me wrong, I do it too. But the way I do it, in my case I have the utmost discretion and dignity of not falling under this social movement of today. Its like this. I don't usually go to clothing stores that are frequently being publicized like, GAP, JC Penney, Old Navy, Levis, Guess..you name them. Instead, I'd go to these several stores not many people has heard of or even know of it; Zero Edge, West49, Stance, Randy River. Because to me, when I see these few individuals wearing them, I find it a rarity; something that I or most people don't see in common everyday. So I chose to follow this small social movement.

In concurrence with your last paragraph there, I do it so that other people would notice I'm wearing a visual that would make them go, "Where the hell did you get that shirt?" And maybe I'm (also) doing it to be cool, but I'm only doing it because I don't want to cross over the mainstream propaganda by Corporate America; anything that's itemized trendy - clothing lines, music, beauty/body care products, mp3 players, and what not. And another thing is, I don't even do it to attract the opposite sex. ^^

There's nothing wrong with catching someone's attention. Even if you have to replenish yourself with what will make one look good. What's important is just being yourself. And I'm not elaborating this in a skin-deep analogy. Of course when you go out with someone, you'd have to present yourself in an appropriate or suitable display, but not crossing over the line that you'd have to wear a mini-skirt to show a lot of skin or putting too much makeup. You get the drill heheh.

Anywho, that's just my 2cents. Please (anyone) don't flame me. If you wish to do so, let's debate in a genial way like civilized individuals. ^^

VS is the secret to the ladies' heart. Gentlement shouldn't be shy to shower nice gifts for their loved ones.

Jiro, I do agree with your comments. Most times there are better and lesser known brands out there even for lingerie !

Their models look good enough to eat! Don't care very much for expensive sexy lingerie, though, coz don't have the body to wear them. :( But their hand lotions are nice.

hi jiro. i tend to agree too that it's no point going for the brand name. i go for what's comfy on me and also on my purse! :)

leonard, here's another pondering: when a guy presents a girl lingerie, is it a gift for her or is it actually a gift/treat for himself? ;)

bkworm, i think the VS models are paid top money too. i like their clothing more than their lingerie. they just have a way to make clothes look comfy and nice! :)

On a guy buying a girl lingerie, I personally think it's a nice gesture and it's a gift that both parties can benefit from. *Winks* There's nothing selfish about a guy buying his gf something he'd like to her in. If it adds spice to the relationship, and she doesn't mind wearing em, why not? There's something about a nice piece of lingerie that makes a girl feels extra sexy, esp when it can make your bf puts away his beloved PS2 the moment you walk in the room. Ha!

Although I must add that it's not something us girls would like to wear to bed every night. Most of us sleep better in our bf's old T-shirt instead of a nurse costume. :P But every so often, effort must be made to keep our man happy, yes?

princess poo poo, you're right. the laces may be uncomfortable for long-term wear. hehe. i think between lingerie and ps2, it's the former anytime, right guys?

eternity, err, not unless it's the controversial "Hot Coffee" in PS2 San Andreas ... haha ;)

p/s: u don't have to search hard for the screenshots ...

I've never bought lingerie online. I prefer trying them on and know exactly how it looks/feels like and how it fits. But that's just me.

However, I had a quite unpleasant experience when I bought a hot pink lingerie set from either One U or Mid V (I cant remember). A 40 plus years old aunty saw it when I took it to the counter and she asked the shop girl for the same thing. And SHE BOUGHT IT RIGHT AFTER I PAID. Now it turns me off whenever I put it on because I cant get that aunty outta my head. I think I'd prefer not to know who else is wearing the same intimate apparel as I am. :/

I'm gonna tell that story on my blog. Haha.
