The year that was

Sunday, January 01, 2006

How quickly the year 2005 went by. I'm sure we each have our stories to tell, lessons to remember and memories to keep close to our hearts. Some are bitter, some sweet. But that's life.

Personally I have a lot of people to thank for making my life just that much more colourful and meaningful: meeting new friends; finding long lost friends; unforgettable working trips to West Africa; and coming to terms and resolving some troubled areas in my life.

Anyway, I was told that this year is the Year of the Dog. My "princesses" were wondering when the Year of the Cat will come. I don't have the heart to tell them that there will never be one. Nevertheless, we welcomed the year 2006 together last night at 12.20a.m.

They don't look very pleased, do they?

Lovely cats, can i have them for retirement?

nick, you don't retire for another 26 years or so. sadly cats live at most 20 years or so. sigh. anyway, even if they live till your retirement, get your own! me not parting with mine. =)
